Thurdsy pickins
L to R: Habenero,Anaheim,Cherry Pepper, A string of Cayennes, Jalapéno, Beef master and Cherry tomatoes, Eggplants and Squash
So it turns out that not all anaheim peppers are just slightly warm. Last night after I collected the beautiful garden harvest above I did what I've done a dozen times before. I picked a decent size anaheim pepper and ate it whole. It was hotter than the jalapénos! My lips were numb, and it felt like someone had cut the connection point of the underside of my tongue with a red-hot rusty dull serrated knife. So it is either the late harvesting, or the change in the weather in the last few days that has brought about this transformation in the garden of herbly delights. Time is not my friend today and I must go now, having slept through all my alarms and only awakened by the missus coming out of the shower and dropping the 80lb. version of The Deathly Hallows on the foot of the bed.
