Introduction

I've lived in a small towns. I've lived on a farm. I've
lived in the 'big' city. I've lived in a sixth floor
apartment of an eight story building, and another one
in a cobbled on addition that was once a back porch. I
had my house built in a sub-division (a term not heard
much anymore) to raise my daughter in a township school
system.
I've worked on farms. Detasseled corn, baled and thrown hay, neutered hogs, raised and butchered rabbits and chickens. I've pumped gas, changed oil and batteries, cleaned windows and given directions at a gas station. I've bussed tables, washed dishes and prepared and served food in restaurants. I've sold watches, cameras, computer accessories and cars. I've dined with millionaires and local celebrities and sat and commiserated with the penniless. I've talked with rock stars, famous actors, comedians, professional race car drivers, pro athletes, musicians, painters, sculpters, bankers, lawyers, doctors, judges, janitors, policemen, firefighters, farmers and felons. I've got friends all over the planet and family all over the continent. I live a rich full life, I have a few sorrows and I have much joy and fun. I live in Indiana. Always have.
I'm a life long Hoosier. I like my state. I know others like their states. I even know some dislike my state. Like all, places, neighborhoods, communities, towns, cities, states, governments, countries, continents even planets, Indiana could be better, could do things differently. But I still think Indiana is a pretty good place to be and a great place to be from.
On these pages I intend to chronicle some of the places I've seen and been. Talk about some of the people that have molded and affected me as I grow into person I am. Personal history, community history and anecdotes will also find there feet, through my fingers and walk these pages. I hope you find something here to please, enrich or inform you. If not I hope you will forgive me for being a bore, and not think too harshly of me.
